Work from Home

Fire Your Boss!  Work From Home! If you are reading this you probably have dreams of working from home and being your own boss.  Many people share that dream – myself included.  Before you fire your boss, do your research to find legitimate companies/opportunities and test the waters; keep your day job and work part-time at your new venture.

There are many legitimate companies that hire home based workers either exclusively or as part of their regular work force.  Many of these companies hire contract workers to fill  positions in call centers, customer service, transcription, sales, and marketing jobs.   Most companies hire a specific type of worker which makes it easier to screen out the ones that interest you from the ones that don’t.

Some companies will pay you as a contract worker and others will hire you as a regular employee.  Each company and position is unique – some may be full time opportunities with a regular schedule and others may be based on need – one week you may be asked to work 20 hours and another week asked to work 40.

Almost all home based work requires a dedicated office or at the minimum, a dedicated (quiet) workspace.  Each company will dictate what office equipment is needed in order to perform the job(s) they are hiring for.  It’s always a good idea to make sure you have the most up to date hardware and software before looking for home based work.  No need to buy anything upfront until necessary.

The opportunities are out there for the taking.  You just need to know what you want to do, what you are good at, and search for what fits YOU.  Keep you eyes on the prize – working from home – (this could be full or part time with the benefit of those hours being at home).  No commuting, no expensive wardrobe, no parking costs or eating out everyday.  Sound good, doesn’t it?  Ready to jump on the bandwagon?  Get going.

Remember – Never pay to work and guard your personal information.
